Birding Counts - StoryMap & Video

This project is about a Christmas Bird Count group in Lincoln, NE. Friends of Wilderness Park, local non-profit that advocates for the City of Lincoln's Wilderness Park, hosted this event on 12-20-25.
As a Lincoln native, Wilderness Park has always been a refuge away from the city bustle. It serves as the only forested park in the city. A rare, unaltered section of the Salt Creek runs through the length of the park, providing crucial habitat for dozens of bird species.
